Welcome to the Colchester Sunday League Archive for Season 2019 / 2020.

The league season was progressing as expected until the first lockdown came due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic.

At this time the Football Association provided two options to bring the league season to a conclusion - these were;

• Competitions are brought to an immediate end with results expunged (option A) or
  
  
• League positions are resolved by a points per game calculation (option B)

The member clubs voted via a Special General Meeting (SGM) where the decision was made by majority vote to take Option A.

Season 2019 / 2020 was therefore ended with all results expunged.
There would be no promotion or relegation and rule 2 (L) would be used to decide the constitution for 2020 / 2021.
